Adcote School Shanghai follows the tradition of the House System from Adcote School in the UK and has established four houses, each consisting of students from different grade levels. The houses are: Burton (Yellow), Darby (Green), Drapers (Red), and Shaw (Blue). All teachers are also assigned to a house, where both teachers and students actively participate in a variety of House activities. Each house has its own complete organizational structure.

After new students enroll, they are assigned to their respect
