1. Enrollment Target

Grade 9-11.

2. Test date and location

In order to better protect the students' health, we will limit the number of students for each exam. If you need to change the exam date after registration, please contact your admission teacher at the latest one day before the exam date. If you are absent on the day of the exam without any reason, you will be considered as giving up your qualification for the exam and the exam fee will not be refunded.

3. Entrance Examination

The Shanghai Adcote School Entrance Examination is divided into two parts: a written test (English, Maths) and an interview (English).

Note: Please refer to the WeChat official account for the syllabus of the examination, and the AS insertion examination is based on the CAIE textbook and knowledge points.

4. Instructions to Applicants

01 To apply for the examination, you need to upload a clear 2-inch photo of the student with ID (Identity Card/Passport);

*ID, Admit Card photo must be identical to your own, otherwise you will be barred from taking the exam.

02 Submission of one year's report card or school growth book of the student is required for the application and optional uploading of certificates of awards and certificates of activities of the student;

*The relevant academic materials uploaded by the student during the registration for the examination will also be an important assessment criterion for the admission result

5. Scholarships

In order to reward outstanding performance, Shanghai Adcote School has set up a Principal's Special Scholarship for New Students (covering the full tuition fee for the first year), a First-Class Scholarship (50% of the first-year tuition fee), Second-Class Scholarship (30% of the first-year tuition fee), and Third-Class Scholarship (10% of the first-year tuition fee), with the number of scholarships to be determined proportionately according to the current year's enrolment.

6. Admission Result

Please log on to our examination registration system after 12 noon on the Thursday after the examination to check the admission result, and the school will send the admission letter on the following day.

Complete the account registration of Shanghai Adcote Examination Registration System; complete the personal application information & family information; upload the relevant academic materials (transcripts, certificates of awards, awards for academic activities) and photos and pay the entrance examination fee of RMB 500; after successful registration, please print the admission ticket by yourself.

On the day of the test, bring your ID and admission ticket with you and arrive at the test centre early to sign in, please be sure to arrive at the test centre 30 minutes beforehand;

Candidates should prepare their own written test equipment, such as black water pen, pencil, triangle ruler, calculator, eraser, etc.; they are not allowed to bring electronic devices such as smart phones, smart watches, translators, etc. into the examination room; they will not be allowed to enter the examination room more than 15 minutes late.
